After a few applications, it is hard to remember them all.
Give each job one row: the company, the date and what happens next. The sheet counts them for you. A row turns red when a follow-up is late.
Choose the status of each job from a list of 8
- Saved
- Applied
- Follow-up Due
- Interview Scheduled
- Interviewed
- Offer
- Rejected
- Withdrawn
The status shows where each job is now. A job ends at Offer, Rejected or Withdrawn (you stopped the application yourself). The file has a second page called Summary. On a phone, tap its name at the bottom of the screen. It counts how many jobs have each status.
The colours show which follow-ups are late
| Company | Role | Status | Follow-Up Date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coastal Brands Group | Marketing Coordinator | Applied | Late: 5 days ago |
| Meridian Facilities | Administrative Assistant | Applied | Due in 2 days |
| Vantage Retail | Marketing Assistant | Interview Scheduled | In 2 weeks |
- Red: the follow-up is late
- Orange: the follow-up is due in 3 days or less
- No colour: nothing to do yet
The tracker has 16 columns and room for 100 jobs. A row turns green when you choose Offer (they offered you the job). It comes with 1 grey example row. Delete it first.
Write every job you apply for in one list. The list shows you which day to message the employer again.
A company calls you back. Which job was it? When did you apply?
The tracker (a table where you write down every job you apply for) keeps the answers. For each job, you also type the day to follow up. When that day has passed, the row turns red. The tracker does not send messages or apply for you.
You could make a table yourself. This one is already set up, with the colours and the counts. You also get 8 follow-up messages (short, polite messages to the employer after you apply). They are written for South African employers. Each one says when to send it.
Is this for me?
Most useful once you apply for about 5 jobs or more.
- A company phoned you, and you did not remember the job.
- You want to follow up, but you do not know when, or what to write.
- You are helping someone in your family apply for jobs.
Want help with every step, from your CV to the interview? The complete system has all 16 files, including these 3 files.
What do I need to use it?
Easiest on a computerThe tracker is a spreadsheet (a table you type into). On a phone, use the free Google Sheets app. You do not need to buy Excel. The colours may look a little different on a phone. The messages and the checklist are PDFs. They open on most phones.
How do I get it after I pay?You pay once. Right after you pay, we email you a download link. Tap it to save the files to your phone or computer. The link also shows on the screen after you pay. No email? Look in your spam or promotions folder.
How can I pay?Pay with a bank card that has a Visa or Mastercard logo. No card? Choose Instant EFT on Payfast, or Ozow on Paystack. With both, you pay straight from your bank account with online banking.
If a file will not open, you get your money back. Email hello@blessingmdigital.co.za. A person replies in one to two business days.

Other questions
Is the tracker empty?
It has 1 example row in light grey, so you can see how it works. Delete that row first. The file does not count it in the totals.
The tracker asks which CV design I used. Do I need your CV?
No. That column is for people who use one of our 2 CV designs. You can leave it empty. Both CV designs are in the complete system.
Is the checklist free on its own?
Yes. The checklist inside is the same free file. We tell you so you do not buy this only for it.
The checklist talks about file 08. Do I get it?
No. You can use the checklist without it. File 08 is a guide to ATS (computer software some companies use to sort and search CVs). It is in Better words for your CV and in the complete system. File 10 is the tracker, and you get it here.
No computer at home?
Use one at a library or an internet café. Or use the free Google Sheets app on your phone.
