Stores that sell, product pages that answer the real objection, and digital products taken all the way from a file on your computer to a working checkout.
The worked example is the page you are on
This site is a Shopify store. I built it: the theme, the templates, the product page, the structured data, the page speed work, the accessibility fixes and every word on it. So instead of asking you to trust a portfolio screenshot, I can point at something you can inspect right now.
Open the product page and look at how it is put together. Then view the source if you know how, and look at the structured data, the heading order, the image handling and the way the price is rendered from one place rather than typed into the copy. That last one matters more than it sounds: this store's price changed twice during development, and every page that had a number typed into it silently started lying.
What I do
- Shopify store builds and setupNew stores from scratch, or fixing one that was set up in a hurry. Theme, navigation, templates, products, collections, policies and checkout settings.
- Product page optimisationThe page where the money is made. Usually the problem is that it answers the questions the business finds interesting rather than the ones the buyer is actually stuck on.
- Product copyWritten from what the product genuinely does, with the limits stated. On a small store, candour converts better than enthusiasm.
- Landing pagesSingle-purpose pages for a campaign or a launch, built to match the advert that brought the visitor.
- Store and conversion auditsA written document listing what is costing you sales, in priority order, with the reason for each. Yours to act on with or without me.
- Mobile experienceMost South African traffic is on a phone, often on a mid-range Android. That is the device the work gets tested on.
- Etsy listings and SEOListing structure, tags, titles and images for sellers on Etsy rather than their own store.
- Digital product developmentTaking an idea to a finished, sellable set of files with delivery that works. Covered below.
Digital products, end to end
Selling a digital product is four jobs that people usually only budget for one of: making something genuinely worth paying for, designing it so it does not look like a Word document, building the store and the delivery so the buyer actually receives it, and writing a page that sells it without overclaiming.
I have done all four on my own product, which is why I can tell you where it goes wrong. The most common failure is the third one. A store can take somebody's money and deliver nothing, and the owner will not find out until a customer complains, because nobody tests a purchase they made themselves.
What it costs
Per project. A product page rewrite, a full store build and a digital product taken from nothing to launch are three very different amounts of work, and a single published figure would mislead most people reading it.
What moves the price:
- Whether the store exists already or is being built from nothing
- How many products and variants, and whether the product data is clean
- Whether the theme is a standard one with settings or needs real template work
- Whether copy and photography exist or need creating
- Whether payments, delivery and tax already work
An audit is the cheapest way to start if you are not sure. You get a written list of what is costing you sales, in priority order. If you then want the fixes done, that is a separate decision you make with better information.
Evidence
The South African CV and Job-Search System is my own product: sixteen files, 54 pages of guides, two CV designs, researched, written, designed, built and launched by me on the store you are reading. I hold a 100% Job Success Score on Upwork with the Rising Talent badge.
How it starts
Send me the store URL. If you have analytics, twenty minutes of read access tells me more than an hour of conversation. If there is no store yet, tell me what you want to sell and who buys it.
